🎉 BIG NEWS FOR EVERTON FAMILIES! 🎉
We are thrilled to announce that Everton R-III School District has been awarded the MOQPreK Grant for the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW! 🐅💛🖤
This year, the Everton R-III Board of Education has once again demonstrated its commitment to our youngest learners by approving the use of these grant funds to provide 20 tuition-free PreK spots for families in our district. We believe every child deserves a strong start, and this investment helps make high-quality early childhood education more accessible than ever.
Our PreK Director, Mrs. Darla Splading, shared what this milestone means:
"From the beginning of the original grant, which afforded the opportunity for the preschool program, I wanted the community to have preschool available to all families at no cost. This dream became a reality, at least while this grant is around, for the first time in the fall of 2025.
The MOQPK Grant was first awarded in 2024, and those funds helped us make important facility improvements. We were blessed with a renewal last year and, with the approval of the Board, were able to offer tuition-free early childhood education to our families. With the unexpected opportunity to renew again for the fall of 2026, we are able to provide another year of tuition-free preschool for our families this school year as well!
A special thanks to Dr. Darter for helping secure these funds and to the Board of Education for once again approving the use of the awarded grant to cover tuition. What a true blessing for our families, our PreK students, and a dream come true!"
This achievement reflects what is possible when dedicated educators, a supportive Board of Education, and a community that values children work together.
Here's to another year of giving our youngest Tigers the strong foundation they deserve!
