October 27th through October 30th, eleven FFA members got the privilege to go to Indianapolis, Indiana for the National FFA Convention. Ezra Wood, Mason Hayes, Jazzmenn Luney, Adain Burkett, Mitchell Gall, Brayden Shultz, Mya Dye, Kezie Sartin, Alleigh Ennis, Paige Nichols, and Jayne Burks were selected to go to National Convention. The first day the only tour we had was at Hermann Sand and Gravel and we toured their work area.

After that tour, we headed to our hotel in Indianapolis. On the second day, we went to the opening session at Lucas Oil Stadium. We first met the National FFA Officers then we got to listen to a couple of people speak. The keynote speaker was Courtney DeHoff. She told us her life story and gave us life lessons. That day we had also gone to a rodeo. The rodeo was so fun to be at. We got to watch bareback riding, saddle bronc, and bull riding. On the third day, we went to an orchard and got to taste test apples and apple cider.

After the orchard, we went to a Fastenal Distribution Center. We learned what they do and a couple of people that they sell to like Amazon. Our last tour of that day was to Fair Oaks Farm. We got to see how they milk cows and we got to see the pigs that they artificially inseminate. There were tons of piglets to see. That day there were not any cows or pigs giving birth so we did not get to see the process of birthing. On the last day at Convention, we went to the American Degree Ceremony where our FFA Advisor, Ms. Hultz’s sister, got her American Degree. We soon left for home after that.
