'Distinction in Performance" Award

This is about a little bad news turned good. When our APR (Annual Performance Report) came out this year, we learned that we had met 12 out of the 14 standards needed for full accreditation. This score is great, and we are once again fully accredited. This score, however, does not earn us the coveted “Distinction in Performance” award we had won three of the previous four years. To earn this award, schools need a score of 13 or 14 out of 14. We believed we had met the criteria necessary for at least 13 points and went to work to find out what happened. We found a computer problem with DESE, had the correction verified and, sure enough, we have just received confirmation that we will once again receive the Distinction in Performance award! Four out of the last five years!
