MDA Hop-a-thon

April 8th, 9:30am

Everton School Gym

This year the Everton Elementary School will be participating in the MDA's Hop-a-Thon.  Students in kindergarten, first, and second grades will be hopping to raise money for MDA (you might also know this organization as "Jerry's Kids").  Students kindergarten through fifth grade will be raising money for this wonderful cause.  Though the third, fourth, and fifth grade students are not able to hop for the cause, they are each paired with a hopper and are able to raise money and/or get pledges for each hop made.  These older students are also the official "counters" on the day of the Hop-a-Thon.  The Everton Elementary Teachers thought this would be a great opportunity and a wonderful alternative to the Math-a-Thon this year.

The students will receive an informational letter with pledge sheets to allow families and friends to show support in this Hop-a-Thon.

Last year, the kindergarten class participated in this activity and raised a total of $125.  We look forward to everyone participating in this exciting event and raising money for a great cause.

UPDATE:  The elementary had an amazing 20,106 hops!!

Great job for a great cause!!
